PRIVATE CLASSES: Private sessions are a great way to cultivate a deeper understanding of the what, why and how of a yoga practice.  Working one-on-one allows for personal attention, instruction and adjustments.  From learning the basics, healing therapeutics, or focusing on a particular pose, privates are an opportunity to truly practice self care by investing in you and your yoga practice.

GROUP CLASSES: My classes are intelligently planned, thoughtfully sequenced, and clearly articulated so you can put your mind in neutral, focus on your breath, and cultivate your strength.  To help connect you to your mind-body awareness, I give a lot of hands-on adjustments, utilize demonstrations and focus on teaching the physics behind the physical postures. When we practice in community, there is a sacred energy created that supports a deeper expression of the practice.  We learn together, we sweat together, we laugh together, we inspire each other.

MENTORING PROGRAM: I have designed a 4-6 month program for yoga teachers looking to improve their teaching skills set.  I am a continuing education provider with over a thousand hours of training…so I gots some skills to share.  Depending on your needs and schedule, I’ll customize our sessions to focus on various aspects of teaching.  We will deconstruct demonstrations, adjustments, sequencing, and other tools that lead to a greater confidence and command of the classroom.  This is a deep dive into your teaching, and a serious commitment. Lisa came into my yoga life almost three years ago when she began teaching at Palos Verdes Yoga.  I remember thinking after taking just one class with her that this was a woman who knew what she was talking about but didn’t preach it, understood people and BONUS, was funny in that dry, confident way that I find smart and silly at the same time.

Since that time I have learned to respect Lisa’s strength, modesty and willingness to give everything to her students in every class, regardless of what might be challenging her personally.

Lisa has crafted workshops to address a variety of topics, from alignment basics and more advanced challenges, to meditation techniques.  Her absolute insistence that we understand the importance of correct alignment and the risk of injury in not having that knowledge is a critical component of her instruction.   She feels the energy of her students and is willing to alter, modify or change her plans.  Nothing is ever by rote or canned.

I have grown to love Lisa as a person and admire her for the integrity and love she brings to her practice and mine.  I look forward to every class with her.  Her dedication and commitment to always learning, along with her love of Yoga and all that yoga symbolizes makes her a teacher and guide to seek out.
